VoxFemina / Feral Polyphony is a loud glimpse into the quiet history and present day of femininity. The performance is a polyphonic and surprising event, a continuum of ever-rebuilding and disintegrating feminine events.

The work will be presented in Turku 19.-20.1.2024.

VoxFemina / Feral Polyphony is a loud glimpse into the quiet history and present day of femininity. The performance is a polyphonic and surprising event, a continuum of ever-rebuilding and disintegrating feminine events.

Femininity is a broad spectrum that has been tried in history to silence and place in a limited space. The work, created by the interaction of several art forms, places the boundaries under a new examination. By cutting the heaps of femininity, experiences that pass generations are opened emotionally. Everyday and inconspicuous is strange and great in the end.

The performance can be viewed as a listening, listening as a contemporary dance performance and as an installation of visual art from many forms of femininity, changing identities, the longing for freedom and communal rituals.

The authors of the work are female artists of different ages; dance artists, composers, visual artists, performance artists, who spread their artistic works into many tonalities between gender, age, humanity and animalism.

VoxFemina / Feral Polyphony is the history of experiences through which we are in this day. Welcome to live with us as you are, through your own history.
