Exciting new dance theatre performance Pierrot le fou - how to dance Godard is coming to a premier in June, on the streets, parks and yards of
Helsinki!
This performance made by an international team of artists, is spreading into four locations this summer in Helsinki on the 9th & 10th of June. The performance invites the audience to dive into a road-movie adventure, in which three captivating characters go through the tragedy and beauty of life in six different languages - incoherently. The performance has drawn its inspiration from the movie "Pierrot le fou” (1966) by the French movie director Jean-Luc Godard. The movie is filled with absurd moments of life on the run from reality. Just like Godard’s film, the aim of the performance Pierrot le fou - how to dance Godard, is to break the logic of traditional storytelling and to reveal the twists and turns of human relationships. The performance is suitable for people of all ages and backgrounds, regardless of their mother tongue.
The performance is part of a longer process and continuum, where the idea is to keep the performance porous and adaptable, always merging it into a new environment and situation.
