The Feldenkrais Method is a somatic learning method in which gentle movement can expand your self-awareness, increase mobility, develop imagination and creativity, and open up new ways of relating to your environment through the body.
The Feldenkrais Method is a somatic learning method in which gentle movement can expand your self-awareness, increase mobility, develop imagination and creativity, and open up new ways of relating to your environment through the body. Each class is built around a movement theme, which is explored in many ways throughout the session — moving gently on the floor, in upright positions, and in relation to space. Classes begin slowly, but the dynamic builds toward the end of the session, when the movement material explored during class is brought into dance improvisation, which each participant can engage with from their own starting point.
The course is open to students of all ages and levels.
Please dress in warm, comfortable clothing, as we will also spend time on the floor. A mat and blanket will be provided for you at the institute.
The Sirenius Hall is fully accessible.
